David Carpenter is a California licensed Architect and General Contractor with over 40 years experience of design build residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial, government and institutional projects.
He has worked on projects ranging from passive solar homes in the rocky mountains to green schools in the bay area, from refinery blast rooms to corporate headquarters, from downtown stores to casino hotels, from accessory dwelling units to luxury apartment buildings, from historic renovations to museums, from fire hardening government facilities to protecting judicial buildings.
He has applied principles of Organic Architecture, Projective Geometry, Feng-shui, Golden Mean, Green and Solar whenever possible.
These designs are synthesized from the history of vernacular architecture. From English cottages to Mayan villages, from American four square to Polynesian stilt homes. They integrate modern sensibilities of accessibility, energy conservation, energy production and storage. They are affordable by design, utilizing advanced framing methods, incremental use of materials and ease of construction. Currently there are 4 units planned for construction in Santa Rosa during 2023.
